About the Opportunity

We are looking for a Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory (PMEL) Program Manager to join our team on a contract basis in Bandung, Indonesia. Due to the exciting growth within the company, we want to invest in your future and long-term career stability, with an expected commitment of a minimum of 4 years, and extending beyond for those who thrive in this role.

The PMEL Program Manager plays a key role as the lead point of contact for all program activities related to the Indonesia Air Force PMEL type II B Program. Reporting to the General Manager, you will oversee the provision, verification, and recording of both classroom and on-the-job training for the repair and calibration of test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment (TMDE).

Your more typical responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: 

  • Assisting with the development of the Capabilities Enhancement Plan (CEP), Integrated Master Plan (IMP), and Integrated Master Schedule (IMS)
  • Overseeing and coordinating installation and validation of equipment functionality
  • Implementing a work tracking system to control job flow and ensure task completion in proper sequence
  • Developing and incorporating a corrosion prevention and control program
  • Developing a comprehensive training plan and a Quality Assurance program
  • Reporting weekly progress, assisting with Monthly Status Reports (MSR), and providing information for Monthly Financial Reports (MFR)
  • Ensuring calibration and certification of TMDE to technical data specifications
  • Overseeing hazardous material/waste handling, labeling, and disposal
  • Developing a floor plan of PMEL work center to optimize component flow through the maintenance/repair process
  • Incorporating production and performance metrics into the production process design
  • Keeping the project manager informed of training plan status to ensure milestones are met
  • Establishing a Technical Order library
  • Sourcing, procuring, and supplying inventory items as needed
  • Evaluating procedures for storage, inventory, and inspection of calibrated equipment

More About You

To qualify, you must have 5-10 years of experience in performing voltage, current, power, impedance, frequency, microwave, temperature, physical-dimensional, pressure, flow, and optical measurements within a USAF/USN PMEL or commercial calibration/metrology setting, along with 5+ years of management experience.

A Bachelor's degree in management, engineering, or aeronautics, is also required. We will also consider candidates with 5+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.

The following skills and experiences would be strong assets to this position:

  • Evidence of completing USAF Specialty Codes for basic PMEL course (AFSC 2P031), with a preference for advanced courses (AFSC 2P051, AFSC 2P071, AFSC 2P09)
  • Hands-on aviation PMEL technician experience, with a minimum of 5-10 years
  • Knowledge of TMDE principles and systematic workflow
  • Proficiency with office computer software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Background in PMEL, PME, TMDE, Metrology, Calibration, ASQ CCT, METCAL, GPETE, Electronics, GCAMS, or Avionics
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective instruction and training
